RJ45 Jacks

The 3M Volition RJ45 tool-less Jack design guarantees consistent and repeatable results. The elegant design of the termination system removes the need for specialised tools ensuring that the performance is repeatable without being subject to the skills of the installer. The termination system is used in all of the 10GT, Cat. 6 and Cat. 5e solutions allowing the installer to be familiar with the system regardless of the type of network being deployed.

All Volition RJ45 Jacks have an integral shutter that protects the jack from dirt and dust during installation, ensuring protection and the highest reliability over the system lifetime. In modern office buildings, aesthetic aspects are becoming more important. Keystone fixing makes the Volition RJ45 OCK6 Jack compatible with most faceplates and outlets on the market, thus offering nearly unlimited design possibilities.

With three versions of the system available in UTP, FTP and STP the 10GT and Cat. 6/5e cabling systems are suitable for all of the EMC protection levels required by different environments and markets.

3M Volition OCK10-S8 Jack

The new 3M Volition RJ45 OCK10-S8 Jack has been specially developed for 10 Gigabit Ethernet applications on twisted pair cable (10GBASE-T) in compliance with the standards ISO/IEC 11801, EN 60603-7-5 and TIA/EIA 568B. With its patented design, it can be connected to Volition 10 Gigabit cables without any special tools. The 360° shield acts like a Faraday cage around the Volition RJ45 OCK10-S8 Jack, giving unrivalled immunity against Alien Cross Talk.

3M Volition OCK5E-S8 and OCK6-S8 Jack

In the industrial environment there are many different sources of electrical (EMI) and magnetic noise. The use of Screen Shielded Twisted Pair (STP, SSTP) systems to mitigate the effects of noise on the copper cabling system is often required to guarantee the transmission performance of the network. The 3M Volition OCK5E-S8 and OCK6-S8 Jacks are protected with a full 360° Faraday Cage system that gives unrivalled rejection of noise sources. The jacks are easy to install in the 3M Volition Classic Patch Panel using the same one-click technology as the other RJ45 jacks in the Volition range.

3M Volition OCK6-U8 and OCK5E-U8 Jack

The 3M Volition RJ45 Jack for Cat. 6 and Cat. 5e Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) networks use the same one-click technology as all other RJ45 Jacks in the 3M Volition product range. The OCK6-U8 Jack provides repeatable results that go far beyond the typical Class E/Cat. 6 link performance requirements. The high end performance is provided at an economical cost. The jack is available in white and black for traditional telecommunications outlets and patch panels. Coloured versions of the jacks are also available.

3M Volition OCK5E-F8 and OCK6-F8 Jack

A lower level of EMI and RFI protection is offered using Foil Shielded Twisted Pair (FTP) networks. This offers a low cost alternative to the fully shielded (SSTP, STP) system where noise is less of an issue. The 3M Volition OCK5E-F8 and OCK6-F8 RJ45 FTP Jacks use the same termination system as the other members of the 3M Volition product range and are available in black or white for use in the 3M Volition Classic Patch Panel and telecommunications outlets.
