External Cabling Technology
The use of external cable links is possible with IP67 unshielded jacks that are coupled with gel filled toughened PE sheath UTP cable. The use of the shielded cable in internal situations where wash down facilities are required is also possible using IP67 jacks mounted with a specialised face plate.
IP67 System
The 3M Volition IP67 UTP, FTP and STP Jacks are provided in Cat. 5e, and Cat. 6 versions. The jacks are easy to use and are terminated using the same-one click technology as the rest of the 3M Volition RJ45 Jack range. The jack can be offered with a food grade stainless faceplate and the IP67 cap protects the jack when not in use. A cover is applied to the UTP patch-cord to make the entire system IP67 rated.
